The day dawned gray and drizzly, but a few riders braved the weather and headed for Joe Watt Canyon and the annual Ellensburg Rodeo Posse Poker/Prize Ride. John L., Pat B., and Laurie H. were the only KVTR members that we were aware of. By the time we arrived, it had stopped raining; by the time we hit the trail, the sun was peeking through; by the time we got back to the trailhead, it was a fairly pleasant day (if it had been April…). With maybe a hundred riders total, it was a mellow and relaxed ride, with no wait to draw your numbers at the checkpoints.

Keep your ears open for this week’s mid-week ride. Rumor has it we may head up the Coal Miners Trail for lunch at the Old #3.
