Here is the link to a really good US Department of Agriculture report showing the extent of the EHV-1 outbreak in the western states.

Also, here are the links to sign up for two “webinars” on the topic:
From Horse.com Tuesday, May 24 | 8:00 PM EST;
And on Thursday, May 26th, at 8:00 PM EST, from Equus magazine.
(Just click on the underlined website name to go to the sign-up page for each webinar.)
From the Equus site, it has been reported that a few new cases continue to show up, but things seem to be slowing down. In the meantime, enjoy working with your horses at home, or on the “trail less traveled.” We’ll keep you posted.
Where is the next ride, and when is it scheduled?
Lori, we don’t publish the ride schedule here on the blog, because it is in public view–non-club members ride with us at the invitation of members. This way the club does not risk as many liability problems. To get on our email or phone list for ride announcements, on would have to come to one of our monthly meetings (2nd Thursday, 7 PM, Cattlemen’s Association building on Dolarway) and join up. It’s a great group, so I hope you’ll check us out!
